CONGRESSMAN HONDA, VETERANS CALL FOR INCREASED SUPPORT FOR SOLDIERS, FAMILIES EXPOSED TO TOXINS

1 comment:

  1. Hello Sir,

Thank you for emailing us and I hope I will be able fully answer your questions. I wanted to let you know that this bill does include all veterans exposed to Agent Orange while in Guam. The bill extends coverage to all veterans exposed to toxic substances during their service in the armed forces.

The bill specifies that regardless of place or time of exposure medical coverage is extended to a veteran and his children whose illnesses are directly linked to their exposure to the toxin. The bill also goes further to include coverage from any toxic substance, not just Agent Orange, to include Iraqi and Afghanistan vets who were exposed to carcinogens during the Gulf War and Operation Enduring Freedom. I have included a summary of the bill for you to look at as well.

While there is still more research to be done and there are many complicated medical issues, Rep. Honda remains committed to ensuring that brave people like yourself, who have served our nation honorably, are able to get the medical care you have earned and that the VA takes care of your children as well.

Also, the congressional representative from Guam,  Rep. Madeleine Z. Bordallo is a cosponsor of this bill and supported it because it extends coverage to all veterans, including those who served in Guam.

I would be happy to talk to you more about the bill if you would like and please feel free to call me at (202) 2250 2631.  I hope this eases your concerns and  please let me know if I can be of any help.

Thank you again for your service and please do not hesitate to reach out.

    All the best,

    Monica

Subject: Your Agent orange bill leaves out VETS

Doesn't your AO bill leave out thousands of vets and their children, grandchildren,  etc. who were directly exposed to AO on Guam during the Vietnam War.  ???? I handled, mixed by hand and power sprayed AO ON AndersenAfb Guam during the Vietnam War in support of ARC Light B52 bombing of Vietnam . http:// www.guamagentorange.info/home
